Business Requirement
The client required street beautification planning supported by as-built drawings and 3D modelling. This included elevation documentation of both residential and commercial properties along the street to assess building heights, preserve heritage lighting poles, and plan proper ground block placement.
Proposed Solution
3D laser scanning was carried out across a 1.2 km stretch of street, capturing elevations of properties on both sides to support planning for the placement and conservation of heritage lighting poles at each location.
Challenges Faced
Heavy human and vehicle movement, including bikes and cars, made scanning difficult along the narrow street. High temperatures added further challenges to the on-site survey process.
Outcome
Delivery of accurate as-built drawings and elevation data, enabling the client to plan street beautification while preserving heritage lighting infrastructure.
