The entire building was digitally captured using high-precision LiDAR scanning to create comprehensive and reliable documentation. Despite the high number of daily visitors, the site was successfully scanned with minimal disruption during the covid time. Advanced data processing techniques were applied to eliminate noise caused by human movement, resulting in a clean, and highly detailed digital output in form of 3D point cloud data.

Challenges Faced

During the Covid time we scanned the entire Palace inside out without any public interference. However, scanning of such large site with so many mirrors, complex rooms, geometries and, heighted scans were the challenges to capture the data without any shadow surfaces. Team managed to capture it using scissor lift and scaffolding arrangement.Also, aligning 1500+ scans with 2TB of data into single workstationtook almost 1st covid lockdown.
